Nara Park is a beautiful park located in central Nara boosting beautiful scenery all year round. There are 2 routes you can choose from if you are travelling to Nara from Osaka. If you are travelling with a JR Pass, you can choose to take the local JR Lines to Nara Station. If you are travelling with a Kansai Thru Pass (Which I did) you can take the Kintetsu Line to Kintetsu Nara Station. If you are travelling without any transport passes, I would recommend taking the Kintetsu Line to Kintetsu Nara Station because it is cheaper and nearer to popular attractions in Nara. One of the most visited attraction in Nara is the Todaiji Temple which houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. We took a detour route from Kintetsu Nara Station through the grass area to get to Todaiji Temple so as to enjoy the different shades of autumn red along the way during my family trip to Japan (07112018 - 14112018). But the charm of this area is not just the scenery but the deer that roam freely through the area. You can really see deer everywhere. Σ(゚Д゚) There are many street vendors in the area selling biscuits that you can buy and feed the deer with (Too excited to feed the deer i forgot to take picture of the vendor lol)
Sometimes you may get to witness the deer bowing to get the biscuit treats. However be warned that some of the deer might be very aggressive as they might bite your stuff/clothing, heat butt you, chase you or come at you in a huge pack to fight for the biscuits. Thus be very alert when you are here especially if travelling with kids.
