Enjoy free entry to Sentosa Island from 1 Sept to 16 Sept 2018 as Southeast Asia’s largest sand festival, Sentosa Sandsation is back for its second year. Be prepared for more sand, more fun and more excitement as the theme for this year is Marvel Edition. Yes MARVEL EDITION!! Woohoo!! This means you get to see 15 larger-than-life sand sculptures of popular MARVEL Super Heroes such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Hulk. 14 of the world’s best sand sculptors will pit their wits against each other in a MARVEL-inspired sand sculpting competition, bringing the total number of larger-than-life sand sculptures to 29 Pay attention to those wearing red around the exhibition as you might have a chance to meet one of the sand sculptors in person. There are also many other fun filled activities surrounding the event like free workshops and movies by the beach. But the most interesting should be the Hulk Smash. Basically you are supposed to wear the Hulk grove and do a Hulk Smash. Watch as the ground break and tremor according to the intensity of your smash. If you are lucky, you might chance upon some superheroes among the crowd. Click here for more information on Sentosa Sandsation 2018: MARVEL Edition One big leap of improvement from last year Sentosa Sandsation was a free shuttle bus service from Beach Station (You can take the Sentosa Express for free during this period) to the exhibition venue. Otherwise you would need to walk about 20 minutes along the beach. Although you can leave the exhibition by retracing your steps (Free shuttle bus to Beach Station -> Sentosa Express to Vivo City), I would suggest not to because there will be a jam for the Sentosa Express An alternative route would be to take Bus A from the bus stop where you alight from the free shuttle bus and alight at Resort World Stop. From there you can take the free shuttle bus RWS8 to Vivo City.
