Covid 19 have disrupted many Singaporeans plan to travel in 2020. After ending the Circuit Breaker in June 2020, many activities and services have started resuming operations in Singapore. With the announcement that every Singaporean aged 18 and above in 2020 is set to receive S$100 worth of SingapoRediscovers vouchers, which can be used on staycations, attraction tickets and tours from December 2020 till end of June 2021 (Read more at CNA news: Singaporeans aged 18 and above to receive S$100 worth of local tourism vouchers), what better time than now to start planning to be a local tourist.
One of the attraction that comes to mind among my friends was to plan a visit to Universal Studio Singapore. I think it is good for the local tourism industry for locals to feel the excitement of visiting local attractions again. However I also need to remind everyone that low Covid 19 cases in Singapore at the moment does not mean no case and everything is over. Hence we still need to remind ourselves to stay vigilant and practice good hygiene habits. If you are planning a visit to Universal Studio Singapore (USS), below are some of the things to take note: 1. Operating Days and Hours
Operating days: Thursday to Sunday
Operating hours: 2.00pm to 9.00pm *Closed from Monday to Wednesday *You may also purchase the Priority Entry Special to enter the park from 12pm to enjoy exclusive meet-and-greet sessions, an early lunch in the park, and be the first in the queue when rides start at 2pm! 2. Purchase Tickets Online
The important thing to note is that USS is temporary suspending sales of physical tickets on site. Hence remember to purchase your tickets online from official sites before heading down to the park.
3. Reserve the Date of Entry
According to official announcement made by Singapore Tourism Board, attractions are allowed to reopen at no more than 50% of operating capacity (Visit Singapore Tourism Board Safe Management Measures for Attractions for more latest updates).
As such, after purchasing your tickets, you must reserved your day of visit. Only visitors with valid reservation are allowed to enter the park.
Remember to have your tickets and confirmation id for your reservation ready either in print out or digital format when visiting the park else you may not be able to enter.
As I have already purchased and reserved a visit to USS soon (sadly before the release of SingapoRediscovers vouchers but still got a good deal from their official site), I will share more on the visit itself in the next entry.
For now I do hope that Singaporeans can make use of this opportunity to participate or visit some of the interesting activities/attractions within our shores while keeping in mind the importance of good hygiene to protect ourselves as well as those around us.
